September Already!?

I can't believe we only had one post for all of August! For shame! As if nothing happened...=) We'll have to go back and get everyone up to speed. But we can't neglect to celebrate September in the process...

For all you fruit lovers, this is National Apple Month (presumably because Johnny Appleseed's birthday). Anyone up for apple picking? Did you know that apples are a member of the rose family?

For you animal lovers, this is also National Chicken Month. Yes, I know. All you lucky people born this month, get to share the glory with KFC.

For all you football fans, the first professional game was played in September of 1892. I wonder what kind of padding they wore back then.

For all you Californians, we became a state in September of 1850. We must have won them over with our gold! =)

For all you children at heart, The Flintstones premiered on ABC in September of 1960. I was a little shocked to learn how old the show already was by the time I started watching it! So maybe the Flintmobile is what they were really using back then. (Just kidding, just kidding!)

For all you sunshine lovers (like me), you've got 20 more days to live it up before Autumn gets here! It's just enough time to cram in some swimming, bike rides, ultimate frisbee and a few other summer activities. (Daniel: Can't forget about golf!)

So, don't act like summer is over yet. You've got a bit more celebrating to do!
