Although this list could go on forever, here are ten reasons we will not be voting for Obama (in no particular order):
1) Endorsements: He's been endorsed by Hamas as well as the Communist Party USA. We're seeing warning signs flashing here.
2) Experience: He has no experience. You try it; work for 183 days and then tell your boss you are ready to lead the company, since the other employees are ready for change they can believe in. Just don't let the door hit you on your way out. A 4-year term as president would be the longest job Obama has ever held. It's a job that, in the words of Obama's own running mate, "doesn't lend itself to on-the-job training."
3) Accomplishments: His only signature "accomplishment" was a bust. His housing project from his days as a community organizer was so terribly mismanaged that it was finally shut down in 2006. Despite his failure, Obama is still campaigning for subsidized private development.
4) Abortion: He is going to get rid of all informed consent laws. Think this doesn't affect you? This basically means that your wife could decide she doesn't feel like having another baby and you'd have no say. None whatsoever. Even worse, your 12 year-old daughter could have her school counselor take her to get an abortion without your knowledge...despite the risks.
5) Pay grade: He's for infanticide. In case of a botched abortion, the living baby is left to die. Obama's plan removes the requirement for an attending physician to help save a baby who survives an abortion. In answering when he believes life begins, he said the question was "above [his] pay grade." Ouch. That's cold, really cold, especially since he has no problem concluding that a newborn baby--UNDENIABLY a life--should still be left to die.
6) The company he keeps: He keeps company with people of questionable character--"questionable" is a generous characterization--and has a history of shady politics. Bill Ayers, Rod Blagojevich, Emil Jones, Tony Rezko, Todd Stroger, Jeremiah Wright, etc. For not being around that long, he seems to have an awful lot of dirt in his past. And the fact that his campaign resorts to thug tactics (this, too) to silence critics makes it even worse.
7) Taxes: His tax plan is downright scary and his economic policy favors an expansion of government that would even shock the likes of FDR.
8) Lies: He's a habitual liar. I like the way another blogger put it: "He plays fast and loose with his life story to transform himself into whatever his audience wants to see." The list is endless, but my favorites include: "Selma March got me born" (Obama was born years before); Life magazine article "changed his life" (D'oh! The article doesn't exist.); he was a "professor" of law (he was a lecturer on leave; huge difference). Whenever called out on these lies, Obama throws it on his campaign staff. It must be crowded under that bus.
9) Faith: He says he's a Christian when there is so much evidence to the contrary. He doesn't believe there is only one way to heaven. Jesus says otherwise.
10) Elitism: He's out of touch with Americans. He thinks that typical white people are racist--including his own grandmother--and the small-town people who didn't vote for him did so because they "cling to guns and religion" on account of their bitterness and ignorance. When Obama speaks off the cuff and without the aid of a teleprompter, his statements are more than mere gaffes; they provide a window into the soul of a man who speaks much but says little.
You sure you want a president like this? McCain is not perfect--no one is--but we'll take a McCain-Palin ticket ANY day over Obama and Biden.
