Whew! That was quite the summer! The horrendous bar exam is over and 3 years of law school are behind us!!! Daniel was quite amused by my emphatic waving at the law school as we drove away for the last time! (I would be happy to never see that place again!) We spent a week in Cali to recover and see family after being away for a whole year.
So what now? Well, Daniel got a temporary job at the law office across the hall from me (how cool is that?!). And as he couldn't join my women-only gym, he become a member of a gym a whopping 2 blocks away! (Yeah, God is that cool!) So we went from seeing each other for a short time in the evenings to commuting together everywhere and even having lunch together daily!
Daniel calls this our honeymoon phase (because we never really got one). We feel a little like we did when we were dating in college...but better! Spontaneous afternoon movies, late night trips for ice cream, going for walks and watching the sunset from our balcony. It took those 3 years to truly appreciate the simple things in life.
