Elijah-isms

"Old Elijah", William, and "New Elijah"
At 2-1/2, Elijah provides so many funny moments that I've started writing them down in a journal so I don't forget them all! Here are some recent Elijah-isms:

E: "I wanna go play now, Daddy."
D: "Yes, you can play after you finish your dinner and then you'll be excused."
(Elijah finishes his dinner and is excused.  30 seconds pass...)
E: "You want ta play, Daddy?"
D: "Yes, in just one minute."
E: (Motioning to Daniel's plate) "Okay, finish your dinner and then you'll be 'cused."

(He's been treating his lion blanket like his own baby.)
"Be patient, Roar. No crying!"
"Roar hungry!" (Puts Roar under his shirt)

E: "Look at these!" (pointing to Mommy's jewelry)
D: "Those look like Mommy's, perhaps."
E: "I have haps."

E: "Daddy's over there!" (pointing to photo on wall)
D: "Oh yes. Daddy's that handsome guy over there!"
E: "No, it's that one!" (pointing)

(Aside from his favorite Bible songs, Elijah has picked up lyrics to a few other popular songs.)
"I got a woman" - Ray Charles
"I love you like a *long song, Baby!" - Selena Gomez (*love)

D: "Are you going to be a doctor when you get big?"
E: "No, I'm Elijah."

And the most heart-warming of all:
(When Anu wears a skirt or dress)
E: "You a princess?"
A: "You think I look like a princess?"
E: "Yes."
A: "Thank you!"
E: "I sing to you?" (Holds both my hands and slow dances.)

Just read these to Dad. We both laughed and also said, "Aww!", like Jamie. :-)
