[/caption]The debate continues: Starbucks or Dunkin'? Now when Daniel and I first moved to the east coast, the idea of Dunkin' Donuts coffee sounded somewhat ludicrous. "Coffee from a doughnut shop? Isn't that akin to gas station coffee?" It appears that we were very wrong. Dunkin' is known out here for its coffee even more than its donuts, despite the name. Now that Daniel and I have had a chance to adequately sample Dunkin' coffee and compare it to our years of loyal Starbucks drinking, I think we are qualified to cast our vote. And the winner of the "Briggs Best Coffee Award" is.....Peet's! Yes, it would have to be Peet's Coffee for all those serious coffee drinkers. They undoubtedly have the best!
As for flavored coffee, we still think Starbucks beats out Dunkin'. Admittedly, Dunkin' has quite the range of flavors to choose from and is a little gentler on the wallet, but in our humble opinion it just can't compete with the Starbucks Carmel Macchiato, Chai (with soy of course) or my seasonal favorite the Peppermint Mocha. It certainly doesn't hurt that their smallest size is called a "Tall"...much appreciated in Anu world!
