Getting Back to Life

All of this past week was spent coming out of our quarantine and doing our best to get back to normal. It felt so good to see friends again and not have to talk from five feet away! Despite the bummer of being cooped up, it did allow us some great quality time. Zeeky got his first book from the pediatrician and he actually liked looking at it (and tasting it)! It's been fun to see him start to look from page to page when I read to both boys.
Let's see how the Dow did today...

...a voracious appetite for learning!
Although the weather is still a bit nippy, the feel of spring is in the air. We took the boys to the park down the street so they could swing together for the first time.

I met a new friend for coffee at the Starbucks on base (a small taste of home). While Zeeky napped in his car seat, Elijah enjoyed pretending to be a big boy. He sat at a small table and played with his puzzles. When I put hot chocolate in front of him, he broke out into a huge grin and exclaimed "coffee"! It didn't matter that I kept saying it was chocolate milk. He insisted that he was drinking COFFEE!
Drinking coffee is serious business
