Last week was the first time in a long time that Daniel had been out-of-town for training. He spent the week at Spangdahlem Air Force Base in Germany for tax law training. It was a beautiful area, but very remote and very cold!
The boys and I managed to keep busy so the week passed by fairly quickly. There were base-wide power outages scheduled on two separate days, so we had to get creative with how we spent our time! Elijah decided to create his own puddles for splashing in our driveway. He put his rain boots on, pushed his sunglasses on top of his head and went to work!

When we got Elijah this Thomas the Tank Engine starter set for Christmas, we assumed it was a bit above his age. We knew he
loved Thomas, but figured we'd be putting the track together for him every time he wanted to play. We were more than a little surprised to watch him immediately put the track together before we had even taught him!

The very same day that Daniel left for Germany, Ezekiel found his voice! We had nicknamed him "Squeaks" in the hospital because he was constantly making little squeaking noises when he hiccuped. Our quiet little mouse has been replaced with "Shrieks" who lets his presence be
known! He makes this noise when he's happy, when he's frustrated or when he just feels that he's being ignored. Take a listen:
Can you believe our little munchkin is already 5 months old?

We were all very glad to have Daniel back home late Friday night and still have the long weekend to share with him. Not ones to spend too much time just sitting around the house, we headed to the M1 mall in Adana on Sunday. It was raining pretty hard, not that it made the traffic any worse than it usually is. Below is a typical intersection where everyone is trying to make a left and backing up the cars continuing straight. There are as many lanes as there is space, so you just have to watch where your neighbors are (or may be) going!

So why did we head out to the mall? To get paint, of course! The painting is still underway, but we hope to finish up soon. That is the one upside of not having our household goods yet!

Some nice pics and a great video. We heard him the other day on the phone. He sure has a voice:)
Tell Elijah that there is more Thomas stuff coming his way. The flooring reminds me of India. The paint job reminds me of the paint job Anu did for her room. Enjoy seeing the boys and the write up
Thomas trains are amazing, aren't they? Our train set is our most played with toy hands down! Love Z's chubby cheeks!
I can't believe how much the kids have grown ALREADY! thanks for keeping us up to date. We really enjoy hearing how things are going and hearing the little one's "voice".
Z's voice has certainly been unique to him! Thomas is definitely the connection between all little boys!
Fun to see the pics! So many good ones that tell the story of your new life adventure and beautiful boys. That's great you can paint your walls and finally start to settle in, too.
