It's A Boy!!!

It's a boy!

There you have it: our son's first embarrassing picture! It seemed like almost everyone was expecting a boy, so it's pretty wonderful how God did not disappoint! Daniel and I found ourselves referring to Baby DnA as a boy so often, that we started confusing others who thought we already knew. The technician spent a really long time with us showing us all the different parts of the baby and getting many different angles. We got see the umbilical cord, the stomach, kidneys and even all four chambers of the heart. To make us even happier, she sent us home with 24 pictures! I could have a whole gallery before the baby is even born!

We've tried to share our favorites with you (You can click on any pic to make it larger):

flexingYes, Baby DnA is flexing! (We really cracked up at this pic!)

Check out that shoulder! In case you are still in denial about what a "masculine child" this is, check out that shoulder!! We didn't know until the very end that Baby DnA was a boy, but Daniel was quite certain after the last two pictures! Actually, he was pretty positive after he felt the baby judo-chop me at church on Sunday!

Nice legsBaby DnA's got some muscular legs to go along with those arms! He was very active during this whole process (like he usually is), but I found it highly amusing to watch him kick me as I felt it! "I saw that!"

Cutest feetHow cute is that little foot! Awww, this photo just melts me!

Hiding from the cameraWhen we finally went in for that profile shot, Baby DnA hid behind his hand to avoid the camera (very similar to his father, actually)! We were just grateful that he at least didn't hide that he was a boy!

Now for the stats...I'm thinking this is going to be a big baby! According to his head size, he's in the 57th percentile, putting him a little ahead of where he should be at 21 weeks, 4 days. He weighs 1.1 lbs, which is normal, but...here it comes...He should be about 8 inches long at this point (from head to rump), but Baby DnA came in at 10.7 inches!! I know I'm not the one to blame for this!!

So now I'm telling our baby boy, that I will be glad to fatten him up once his outside the womb, but to slooow down a little for now. It's not a race! I'm not sure my pep talk is working...
