Peter Rabbit Baby Shower

One week ago I had the most fantastic baby shower! It was so beautiful and elegant...beyond anything that I was expecting! About 40 women showed up, all friends and family from all over and we had an amazing time. With a crowd that large, it was a combined effort to pull together a party that nice. I have so many people to thank and so many details I could describe, that it would take more than this post to put it into words! I will simply let the pictures speak for themselves:

Daniel's mom actually made that amazing cake! Peter Rabbit is actually the theme of the baby's room, so they surprised me with a Peter Rabbit themed party.

The punch was a rasberry and mango concoction that was as delicious as it looked! Those Beatrix Potter books are the original ones I had as a child, thus the inspiration for my theme!

The above props were used for a couple games that were played (all organized by our wonderful family friend Michelle)! The bags held baby items each beginning with a letter that spelled "Baby Briggs." The second game was a memory garden game where the guests were asked to remember as many of the items shown as possible, before the "garden" was taken away.

Between the games and all the good food, it seemed that everyone had a really good time...including the kids!

To everyone who helped make this day happen, thank you from the bottom of my heart. It was a truly magical day for me that could not have been more perfect! To everyone who was able to make it to the shower, I am truly touched that you would come. I am humbled by the number of people that love me and my family enough to celebrate this new life with us. May God make me into the mother He wants me to be and make me worthy of that kind of love.
