Mailbox Fiasco

So the mailman and I have an agreement at work. He didn't like me over-stuffing the mailbox with our large mailers (yes, now you know where your junk mail comes from), so as long as I leave a note on the mailbox to "Please pick up mail from office," he's more than happy to do just that.

A couple days ago we had a couple mailers to send out. So I arranged the stacks of postcards and letters on the raised portion of my desk. Without looking, I reached over my desk and grabbed the sticky note that I had already written, and then walked out to the foyer and put the note on our mailbox.

More than an hour later, I glanced away from my keyboard and subconsciously started reading, "Please pick up mail from office..." Wait. Didn't I put that note on the mailbox? If I didn't put this note out there, then what note did I leave?!?

I dashed out to the mailbox to find in bold red letters: "The LORD is my anchor, I shall not be moved." Oops!! I was more than a little embarassed that my personal note of encouragment became a "billboard" for the whole building to view! I guess it was a little too good not to share with everyone else! =)
