Cats or Dogs?

We have frequently told people that our cats have dog-like personalities. This is usually met with some disbelief, until we explain.

First of all, we have Lucy who is by no means a "normal" cat. She is part manx, which means she has a stub of a tail and her hind-quarters are built like a bunny. Her legs are short and spring-loaded (she has crazy hops), her whiskers are much too thick and long for her tiny face, and her coat is medium-length and extremely fluffy. We affectionately call our stocky furball a "cabbit" (a mix between a cat and a rabbit, in case that needed explanation).

Why is she like a dog? Well, she runs to the door to greet anyone who comes in. In fact, she gets so excited when someone comes home, that she runs to greet us and then darts over to her scratching post to let it all out! Some days she runs back to her scratching post 3 times before calming down enough to let us pet her. She also loves to jump on the bed in the morning and stick her face to wake us up.  wags her nub when she gets excited
