Quick praise to share with you today. I stopped by the coffee shop/trailer this morning and exchanged good mornings with the employee. When I found out her name is Ruth, the light turned on in my head. She always seems to have a joy about her and I just had a feeling, so I asked her why her parents chose that name. She smiled and said, "Because it is Biblical." I quickly told her my first name, the names of my sons and that I am a Christian as well. As it turns out, she is from Kenya and is a devout Christian. It never ceases to amaze me how God's love and saving grace transcend every familial, tribal, and cultural boundary.

What a praise and joy indeed to meet a family member from Kenya in Afghanistan!! The verse you wrote and the lyrics to the Newsboys' song are so appropo! Dad and I just finished reading this post.
