Go Vote!

Tomorrow, Daniel and I will go and vote early in the morning. We will then go home to enjoy our Folgers moment with the kitties and get ready for the day. Just like any other day, we will drive to work, meet for lunch (because we work next door to each other!), work until 5pm and go home. We will then make dinner and relax for awhile before I head out to Bible study. When I get back, we will probably snuggle with the cats, while I read and Daniel blogs, before going to bed.

Everyone knows the weight that tomorrow's vote carries...but the future is always uncertain and there is only so much that is within our power. Our pastor's wife made the comment that God is not sitting up in heaven saying, "What will I do if the wrong person gets elected?!" Despite the chaos that tomorrow will probably bring, none of this is taking God by surprise. He is still completely in control and we can take comfort in the shadow of His mighty wings. All that is wrong with the world is just a sign that we are drawing closer to the fulfillment of His promise!

This is one of my favorite verses when I feel that the world is spinning out of control:

"Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD, who has compassion on you." ~Isaiah 54:10
