It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's...Ahhhh!

We have been pretty crazy busy lately! Busy with fun stuff, but busy nonetheless. Friday night, we were hanging out with our friends Matt and Laura at their place. We had fun talking, playing with the dog and making an impromptu run to Wendy's for Frosties. It was about 11pm, we were back at their place, and I was just about to signal to Daniel to get going. I look up in time to see something swoop into the living room. "It's a bird!" I cheerfully said, only to have someone gravely reply "That's not a bird!" Everyone started screaming and running! Somehow we made it outside and I ended up being carried by Daniel onto the backyard lawn (my shoes were back at the front door). Laura bravely went back for the dog and another pair of shoes, which allowed Daniel and Matt to go after the bat. We discovered what mighty hunters our husbands were that day. It only took them about 10 minutes! Their weapons of choice? A sock, water bottle, and a garbage bag. Moral of the story: if your friends say it's okay, keep your shoes on in case you need a fast get-away!
