February 13th

I think Daniel and I should adopt February 13th as our new Valentine's Day. The 14th just never seems to work out for us. Last year we had a blizzard, which I got stuck in while driving to and from work. This year, Daniel ended up being sick with the flu. I picked up dinner from Olive Garden and only realized after getting home that they had completely forgotten my entrée! Then Daniel told me that he was trying to be nice about picking up dinner, but didn't think that he could eat any pasta. So Daniel fell asleep eating a bowl of canned soup while I ate his lukewarm ravioli...it was about as unromantic as you can get on Valentine's Day!

However, the day before was much better! Daniel had a friend drive him to go get me flowers and then Daniel personally surprised me with them at work! I also had some chocolate and sparkling cider waiting for me at home! Now that's the way to celebrate! =)
