Almost before we realized it, our two months in California were over. But what a wonderful vacation it was! Daniel said that his internship turned out better than he could have ever expected. Sponsored by the Alliance Defense Fund, he worked for the Pacific Justice Institute in Sacramento and was involved in two cases, one in Oakland and the other in San Leandro. The former even received a good amount of publicity nationwide.
While Daniel finished up in Sacramento, Anu went back to the East Bay and spent time with her parents. However, she and her parents stayed in Castro Valley only a short while, spending more time visiting family and friends in Riverside and San Diego. Of course, summer would have been incomplete without a trip to Hume Lake to see her sister, Roopa. They then stayed at a B&B in Three Rivers (which ended up being the home of someone famous) and visited the Sequoia National Park.
Between the two of us, Daniel and I were able to see almost everyone we had missed, visit all our favorite places and eat all our favorite CA foods! We feel so richly blessed!
