Northeast Retreat

This past weekend, we went on a retreat sponsored by the Christian Legal Society. The retreat was held in Scranton, PA and was for all CLS law student chapters in the northeast.

I wasn't so sure that this weekend would be for me as it was primarily geared for law students. However, it ended up being a really great time! The entire thing was done extremely professionally. They put us up in the Hilton and covered all meals (which were excellent)! The speakers included Jan Moskowitz (Jews for Jesus) and Randy Singer (North American Missions Board).

We stayed up late the first night playing games (we played Mafia which I haven't played since high school!) and then on Saturday we went skiing. It was so great to meet other Christian law students as well as Christian couples. The whole experience was so encouraging and we can't wait until next year!

Unfortunately, we have no pictures for you (yet), but we do have a video. Granted, Scranton was chosen for its central location and accessibility and not the siteseeing, but hopefully this video will shed some light on why Scranton is so special! (You may recognize this clip from NBC's The Office). :o)
