I headed over to the barber shop and experienced the usual cross-cultural experience upon arrival: Kyrgyz barbers speaking Russian while listening to Spanish music (For some reason, Spanish music is very popular with them, even if they don't speak the language.). I wasn't really paying attention when I overheard one barber telling a customer something in what sounded like Turkish. As it turns out, the guy and his buddy are civilian (Turkish) employees who are from Incirlik. Small world! In about 10 seconds I exhausted my knowledge of Turkish but it was still very fun to have that random connection.
