A Few Photos

(Daniel writing this...)

I thought I'd send a few photos.  There are strict rules about what photos I can and cannot take and from what angles, etc.  These photos are fine, but please do not post on FB or distribute beyond family.  Thanks!

I am in a double-stack like the one below.  As you can tell, it really isn't that bad at all.  So far, I have no roommate, but I hear that will change soon.  The gray concrete wall is right outside my door.  Normally, a view like that would be less than outstanding, but in this context it's reassuring. There are a few people working in the Justice Advisors hut I'm in (though there are other JA huts).  My office is plywood but it's functional, aside from no A/C (I may switch offices when another one opens up in a few weeks.).  Plus, it's always an adventure trying to stay at my desk, as the entire hut slopes towards the rear.  :o)

I hope this gives you a glimpse of life here. More to follow!  Take care.

Yay! I reset my password so I could log in. Hey, thanks for posting the pictures! Interesting to see. Why is the concrete wall reassuring? Also, you look like you have matured. Surely, that's the lighting! ;)
Love ya,
Julie

"Matured" must be a nice way of saying "Wow, Daniel, you look old and haggard!" :o) The concrete wall is reassuring because it could potentially protect me from mortar rounds, indirect fire, etc. that might happen to come my way.

Thanks much! Please let everyone know how much it means to me to know I am covered in prayer.
