I have been learning more and more in the past year about how to listen to God when He speaks. However, each time is different; every time I think that I am finally starting to listen, He teaches me something else.
God has spoken to me before in a soft comforting whisper that only comes when I take the time to be still. He has also given me Scripture that has applied so perfectly it was as if I was hearing Him read it to me. But never have I heard His voice quite like I heard it on Thursday.
I realize now in hindsight that God had been softly speaking to me through my loving husband. But it took a room of six people all telling me the same thing before I recognized His voice. I think I was so astounded that I sat there with my mouth hanging open. God was speaking loud and clear!
So how do I learn to listen better? How do I better recognize when it is God's voice that is speaking? How humbling that I still have so far to go!
